So, what do you want to look for? In laymen terms, the more litres there are, the more power the car has. However, with more litres being pushed through your cylinders, the more fuel will be consumed.
To gauge what to expect, a small economical car is expected to have a 1L engine and a Ferrari might have up to 6L.
Litres per 100km (fuel efficiency)
This value represents how many litres of fuel the car uses to travel 100km. The less fuel the vehicle uses, the more fuel efficient it is. Though, as mentioned above, fuel usage is linked to the car's power.

Zero to 60
This term is based on a simple comparison that can be applied to all cars and refers to the car's power. The value is the amount of time (in seconds) it takes for the vehicle to accelerate to 60miles* per hour from standing.
The values you would expect to see are in the range listed out below:
• Ford Ka takes 11.8s to accelerate from 0-60m/h
• Ferrari takes 3.3s to accelerate from 0-60m/h
*It should be noted that these values are based on the imperial system, a metric equivalent is to measure 0-100km an hour (as 60miles = 96.56km)
• The more litres the engine's cylinders have = more power = more fuel usage
• The less litres used per 100km = less fuel = lower cost
• The lower the time it takes to get from zero to 60m\h = more power
